It's so incredibly easy to sit and think about
how you wish things were different
or how your life is too challenging
or how you just want to stay in bed.
If you are having a hard time being grateful read this blog nieniedialogues.com. She is incredible. After her body was severely burned in a plane crash over a year ago she has undergone an incredible amount of pain emotionally and physically and yet everyday she gets on her blog and lists the things she is grateful for. She INSPIRES me daily.
I encourage you to stop each day and make a small list. Each day is new.
Today I am grateful for:
My chocolate eyed sweet little girl who tells me she loves me at least ten times a day.
My red head busy baby boy (not really a baby since he turned 18 months today) who keeps me on my toes with his desire to be in the midst of everything.
My very supportive husband who brings me two small bags or one big bag of M&Ms to work at any given moment. All I have to do is text him:) What a man!
My warm house.
The smell of homemade chicken noodle soup brewing on the stove.
Greys Anatomy.
Ericka isn't that lady amazing! You are so true...Life is so easy to get caught up in the middle of and forget what is the most important!!!
ReplyDeleteEricka,
ReplyDeleteYou are my hero. You are so uplifting and I agree, there needs to be a wake-up call sometimes that tells us to remember what we have and not so much what we don't. I love you and am so blessed to have you as a sister and best friend. (Cooper is a chunky monkey in that pic)
